Dimensions Showing in both paper and model layout

Dimensions Showing in both paper and model layout

I am trying to dimension different views of my model. However within this certain paper layout when I dimension it - these dimensions are shown in my model- I have two other paper layouts that have been dimensioned that are not shown in my model.  I am wondering how I can have them not show up in the model.  See attached pictures for the paper space and then the model.

Could be that you flipped your plan

See your UCS icon.

If they don't show in model space because the annotative is not on.

If they don't show in paper space because the layer is off for that viewport.

You should post your .dwg and a snap shot of the problem so others can see.

@Anonymous ,

UCS = World   and   PLAN = World

I've attached screen shots above as to what the issue is. Dimensions are showing up in both model space and layout space when i only want them in layout.

I noticed you have dimensions active on Paper Space Layout and some on Model.  Those on Paper Space will only show on Paper, where those in Model will project on every viewport.  To resolve, place the dimensions on a specific layer.  Turn the layer off in Model and On in your viewports (if you want the dimensions in Model Space).  Otherwise move them to Paper, but this will only show on the layout they are placed.

It won't work if you use dimension on paper space on one layout and expect them to show on another layout.

You made dimensions in paper space (see screen short)

Go to layout cmd ps delete your duplicate  dimensions from paper space.

 if you want to Change the visibility, then play with layer visibility in paper space. hope you got my point.
