Dimension Text not showing up in AutoCAD 2020

I use AutoCAD Architecture at school and downloaded AutoCAD 2020 onto my personal computer. I am working on a floor plan and am trying to dimension it in paper space, which my teacher has instructed me to do. When I was at school, it showed the text for the dimensions. I copied the file to my flash drive to take home. However, when I opened it up on my personal computer, the dimension lines showed but not the text. I've tried to make a copy of the drawing into a new file, but that didn't work either when I tried to draw the dimensions. None of the text I used is showing up. Not even my personal textboxes. How do I fix this? Please help!

Are you opening the file direct from flash-drive, or copying to the PC, then opening?

Do all other objects show correctly?

If you take the copied file back to your school PC, does the text re-appear there?

Do you get any error messages when opening the file about missing or substituted fonts?

When in paperspace, try command annoallvisible and set to 1, then regen, does this help?

Try command audit then y  (this should fix any errors in the file itself- observe if any errors were fixed, or objects erased)

I have never used AutoCAD Architecture, so I don't know if there is anything different regarding annotation objects that could be the cause. If that is the case, command -exporttoautocad may help (this will convert any AEC specific objects to plain AutoCAD objects)

If all else fails, can you upload the file for testing?

I tried what you suggested, but mine looked exactly the way yours did.

Thanks for the input...I was trying to work on it from the flash drive before uploading it to my computer, but I tried uploading it and it didn't work. I haven't tried opening it up at school because I'm on Thanksgiving break. Everything else shows fine...I tried everything you suggested, but it didn't work....There is something that pops up when I open it. I've attached what the pop up is.

I am using 2019 mech. But I think it's worth to try this.

1. Enter command dimstyle

2. then on the dialog select the dimension style that has problem.

3. click "Modify..." button

4. select "Text" tab

4.1 check the text height => change the value to suit if it is too small

4.2 in "Text apperarance" section click "..." button next to "Text style" to check the font availability => Is the font available in your windows "Font" folder?

Thanks! That worked for the most part...It still deleted all my room labels, but I can remake them. It's frustrating losing all that work, but at least I can get it done! Thanks again...
