Good Afternoon,

When creating new dimension styles using dimstyle, i only have standard and annotative and seem to be missing ASME and ISO-25. Could anyone explain why this is, and point me in the right direction to adding them to the dropdown in "start with". Thank you

That's all you get if you start a blank new file that Autodesk provided inside plain AutoCAD.

That is not a default option in this program, never has been. Are you using the correct variant of AutoCAD?
Are you needing to open a custom TEMPLATE file someone else provided for you but now you are unsure where it went?

Or did you install new software and did not manually an deliberately move your templates from the older version yet?

A little context , I'm a student and my book is telling me to create these dimstyles using the new dimension feature. I sadly only have Autocad2025 and have no other variants of the program.

I do see the other templates which have the corresponding dimstyles in them. From the books perspective it wants me to just add them to the styles, using the dimension style tool. I assume i have to start a template with ISO-25 and redo my drawing? As that is what it seems like.

Is there no way to convert a document to the other styles? Thank you for the response !

You should learn to use Design Center which makes importing dimension styles and and almost everything from other drawings simple. https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2025/ENU/?guid=GUID-B22D1BAB-A18B-4F03-9BED-7DA706AFD91E

If your book does not provide you with images, this is how yo create a new dimensions style in AutOCAD2025

Not if the book was written by someone that actually uses the program: to add dimension styles from other DWG and TEMPLATE files, you want to use ADCENTER command
