Dimension Scale Linear not working

The Dimension Scale Linear sometimes not work even on the save file. Can anybody tells me why? Thx.

Are you snapping to objects (endpoint, intersection)? Along with DIMASSOC being set are two requirements to do what you want.

But then sometimes you have to resort to MATCHPROP to fix it too.

See my first picture. When I snap to some parts, it works fine but not for other parts in the same viewport.

Whats your DIMASSOC setting?  1 or 2??
