Dimension placement pause

For some Drawings, after selecting two points to dimension, I go to place the dimension and there is a lengthy pause before the dimension places. WHY????

Thank you for posting your question here in the community. As @pendean suggested, it would be helpful to see an affected drawing. Can you attach one?

Additionally, could you create a Screencast to record the behavior?

Does the pause occur in every drawing, or only certain ones?

Every time you use a dimenion tool, or only sometimes?

Only certain dimension tools, or all of them?
