Dimater and Radius leaders won't stretch out, can't pick second location point.

Hello, I am using AutoCAD 19 and am trying to get my Diameter and Radius leaders to allow me to specify a second location away from other drawing objects. Currently the command sets a default leader position and length which can't be changed without changing the leader. Example of this is when I place a diameter on a circle in a drawing the distance and leader snaps to the out side of the circle but always at a short length which I cannot change. When I move the dimension text the leader changes to an internal dimension line with arrows inside of the circle.

I have created a child text under the dimension style setting but that didn't change anything. What settings am I missing that would allow me to pick the first point on the circle and then place the second point anywhere in the drawing out of the way of other drawing items.

Thanks,

Greg

See the attached, settings work for me and I think it is what you are after.

That's close but it still puts a dimension line through the circle, see my example. I just want the leader to stop at the outer edge of the circle with an arrow head on it.

In the child dimstyle dialog box uncheck "Draw dim line between ext lines" for the line between the arrowheads to disappear. I like it checked for linear and aligned dimensions. Nancy
