Dim Text Background Width

Hello,

I know I have found this in previous searches, but I can't seem to locate the solution now. I have dimension text with the text box width much wider than the text or going on to infinity. I remember there is a simple solution to this issue but just can't pull it out of my... head.

When I place the "background" mask on the dimension, it wipeouts out a strip across the entire drawing.

Thanks in advance.

Dustin

Hi @dalbaughQBXKH

You can double click the dimension  text to edit it and then right-click on the above ruler and select "set mtext width" and enter the value as "1" and click "ok" 🙂

Why 1? I would set 0.

Thanks guys!
This ended up working to allow me to adjust the width but "1" nor "0" resolver my issues. My dimensions text has overrides on them to add additional text to the dimensions. 1" would force the text into a box that was too small, If I changed it to 2" the box was huge again. I ended up running through options and coming up with the breaking point of where the dimension text doesn't change appearance but the mask is as close to the text as I can get, 1¼". Such a random and odd issue, for sure the text override but I need them there.
Thanks,
Dustin
