Hi,

am thinking of purchasing either Autocad 2018 or Autocad Mechanical 2018. Is the only difference its mechanical componentry/library? But more importantly do both have the same 3D drawing capability?

Thanks,

Phil

The explanation in short.

Both of AutoCAD & AutoCAD Mechanical can do 3d modelling.

AutoCAD 2018 is a plain version in AutoCAD series.

AutoCAD Mechanical 2018 is a vertical version which is built on top of AutoCAD and not only adds Mechanical library but also has functions for mechanical engineering design.
