Diesel Expression to Add Tabs

Hi, I need help. I just want to know if there is a diesel expression to add tabs containing specific text ... example

A1.1

A1.2

A1.3

S1.1

S1.2

S2.1

S2.2

S2.3

Diesel Expression will then give me 3 for all that contain A1. ... 2 for all that contain S1. and 3 for all that contain S2.

Why DIESEL if I may ask? Are you on a very old LT version of AutoCAD or something else?
So you just want the TAB name, no pagesetup defined? Or...?
and do you have a TEMPLATE file(s) with those predefined and ready to use by chance?

and the diesel expression to read "7" it's 

$(upper, $(substr, $(getvar,ctab),5,2))

 and the sheet A2.7 it's just SystemVariable Ctab
