DGN files take a while to load, then shows small dot/black screen in AutoCAD2013

When I open DGN files from: AutoCAD symbol > open > DGN. It takes quite a while to open (shows not responding). When it does open, it just shows a tiny dot on the black background. Is there a way to fix this. Thanks. I have AutoCAD 2013.

since we don't have this DGN file , i think that you have a file with some elements flying here and there . try to Zoom in to those tiny dots and check what they are ? try to remove unwanted items then Zoom ( Extents ) .

It won't let me share a DGN file on this forum. Sorry I'm new to the AutoDesk forums. The DGN file/s can open OK on AutoCAD 2010. The issue happens with two or more DGN files (on AutoCAD 2013).
