dbconnect with microsoft access 2007

I am having problems with connecting Access 2007 (32 bit) to AutoCAD 2017 (32 bit).

I create a data source name.

The Date Link Properties dialog box indicates the following OLE DB Providers:

1.  Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

2.  Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Search

3.  Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server

4.  Microsoft OLE DB Provider Simple Provider

5.  MSDateShape

6. OLE DB Provider Microsoft Directory Services.

The only one that connects is OLE DB Microsoft Directory Services however when I test the connection I receive an error indicating the connection failed. I select yes and the data link indicates the test connection succeeded. The "red x" disappears from the data source I created but I am not able to open the table.

Can someone assist me?

I'm afraid that my version of Access is a lot newer but I would still like to try working with your database/table. Is it possible for you to attach it for me?

I am also working in 64 bit 2017 so we will have to see if that makes a difference as well. If memory serves me, I have used Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers in the past.

Won't allow me to send the Access file. Getting this error:

The file assets.accdb does not have a valid extension for an attachment and has been removed. art,3dp,3ds,ach,asx,avi,axm,bm,bmp,cfz,chm,cps,csv,dbf,dcl,doc,docx,dst,dwf,dwfx,dwg,dws,dwt,dxf,dyf,dyn,eco,env,esri,f3d,f3z,fbx,fm,gif,gz,gzip,iam,ics,ide,idw,iks,ipn,ipt,jfif,jpe,jpeg,jpg,log,lsp,mac,max,mb,mp4,mpg,msg,nc,nc1,nwc,nwd,nwf,obk,pat,pc3,pdf,pkt,png,png,ppt,pptx,prj,psd,rar,rfa,rft,rlf,rtd,rvt,sat,sdf,sdf,sdf2,sdf3,shp,shx,simstudio,sldasm,slddrw,sldprt,step,stm,stp,svf,svg,text,tif,tiff,txt,vcf,vtf,vtfx,wmv,xls,xlsx,xml,xps,zip are the valid extensions.

Access file has an accdb extension.

Please place the file(s) in a ZIP file and then attach them. If you still have difficulties please let me know.

I'm coming up with an error when I zip them to Outlook. The files are small - do you have an email account I can send them to.

Don't use email to do this. Simply rt-click the file(s) and Send them to a compressed file. Then using your web browser go to this thread

I  created a similar Excel spreadsheet and get the same error message. Please note that I am using a standalone pc and am not connected to a network.

When configuring the dbconnector did you use "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers"?

With the Excel spreadsheet you used the Datalink feature?

Perhaps you have some permissions issues. Are you a local administrator on your workstation?

I logged on as administrator, added Microsoft Access Database to the ODBC connection and configured dbconnect as you suggested. I receive the attached error message.

This is a MS error message that (I am guessing) means that you have a 64 bit driver and a 32 bit application. They must match in order to create the link.

I'm attempting to work on the problem at a Microsoft forum - still in limbo. As for now dbconnect is not working.
