Hi, everyone.

I'm trying to connect to two different database, one in Oracle and other in SQL Server.

There are any documentation about how to do this?

Anyone can help in this topic?

Using what program? You will get better answers posting in the forum dedicated to that specific program.

Hi Allen.

I'm using AutoCAD 2024 and Civil 3D 2024.

May I ask, with plain AutoCAD2024, what is the intent to connect to one of those?

are you getting into .NET programming, designing an add-on? or...?

Did you already look in the program's HELP to find talk about other software linking to databases by chance?

Are you trying to query from both sources into one inside of AutoCAD or are you just wanting to be able to source two different databases?

If you just need to connect to two different sources, you can create several sources in tn the DB CONNECT MANAGER.

When it comes to connecting to your data if you have an ODBC set up in your system you can select the ODBC connection by selecting OLE DB PRovider for ODBC Drivers. Then, in the next dialog, you can select your data sources from the drop down.

Hi @TheCADnoob , thanks for your answer.

I just want to be able to source two different databases.

I first tried with Oracle but the information that I found is that the version 19 (I think) don't have support.

Later I tried with SQL Server through ODBC but every time that I tried to access the database my AutoCAD ou Civil 3D stop responding.

I already read all the help for both software and don't know what can I do.

Do you have any idea about what can be happening?

Not sure what the problem is, I would start with ODBC and make sure they are set up correctly. Can you pull data from your ODBC in other applications? Try pulling data from your two sources into another program like Excel using powerquery.

If it pulls into Excel fine, then the problem is in AutoCAD.
