Data Extraction Counting Copy of Multiple Blocks in a Single Block

I have a block (a stud) with attributes (Bldg #, Floor, Length, Piece Mark). I use this block repeatedly to create the framing layout of a building. I then create a copy of that layout in the form of a block and paste it in other plan layouts to use for reference. When I use Data Extraction, it not only counts the individual stud in the layout, it also counts the stud in the layout block I have pasted in other plans. I have used Data Extraction before without this result. Is there a setting I need to adjust so that the original individual studs get counted but the ones making up the framing layout block don't get counted?

I don't understand the issue properly (example dwg file would help us to understand), but lets try:

Dataextract

Page2of8
a) you can choose the DWGs you want to extract datas,
b) OR take a individual selection of objects of current drawing
c) you can set the [settings] to "only Modelspaceobjects"
d) "from all spaces" / Modell and all Layouts
e) incl. nested objects from Blocks - or not
f) incl. nested objects from Xrefs - or not

Thank you for your reply. I had made a block of multiple blocks. That block was only supposed to be for reference, but the data extraction was picking up those nested blocks. I changed the Settings you mentioned on page 2 of 8 of the Extraction Wizard--Additional Settings, and it worked. I wasn't sure which one of the three extraction settings (Extract objects from blocks, Extract objects from xrefs, Include xrefs in block counts) to select/deselect, but I deselected "Extract objects from blocks", and that did the trick! Thank you! :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:
