Data Capture from completed plans to create report

Is there a method to capture data from completed plans e.g. total square footage, occupant load, occupant type, total doors, total windows, total floor levels to create a report

This would be helpful to export data and sync information for total projects worked on either daily or monthly reports for end users.

That depends on how much you pre-planned to have this report ready to go, whether your file contains such information created by a vertical variant of AutoCAD, or if those are blocks you can at least "data-extract" after some effort creating a template, or you only have lines smooched together with no actual 'data' already present to extract from.

So... whatcha got?

If you do not want to use specialized add-ons, then in pure AutoCAD you can create your own layout from blocks. Blocks can be added invisible attributes, for example, a room block can contain an attribute of the room area. Then you will need to extract information about all blocks using the DataExtruction command. But if there is also the AVC DatatTable plugin, which can sum up the attribute values, and can also extract names, areas and lengths directly from the drawing polylines (that is, you will not always need to create blocks).
