Dashed lines showing solid in model space

Hi,

I have tried multiple times every solution relating to LT, LTS, PSLTS, MSLTS, VIEWRES, GSF, and a few more. All of my dashed lines show as solid in model space, and when I zoom into them at a large LTS, you can see what is supposed to be the spaces in the dashed line have dots instead. I have attached photos. Please let me know if anyone else has had this problem!

In paperspace, the lines show up dashed.

What are your exact settings in modelspace for LTSCALE, MSLTSCALE, CANNOSCALE and CELTSCALE? You never write specific from what I can tell. TIA

Currently,

LTSCALE: 1

MSLTSCALE: 0

PSLTSCALE: 0

CANNOSCALE: 1:1

CELTSCALE: 1 (but some objects have 0.5)

And thank you so much for taking the time to review my question 🙂

Set MSLTSCALE to 1, then run REGENALL command. If that does not show everything correctly, please share your actual DWG file here.

I have tried that before, and just did again and did not work for my situation. I'm very new to AutoCAD still so I'm not sure if it's a file problem or my AutoCAD settings etc.

I have attached the file. The dashed line should be the one on 'Hidden' layer around the exterior walls.

Thank you so much 🙂

No worries: welcome to the hardest program to learn on the planet 😉

In your first screenshot, you indicated these where dashed lines, but it appears they are not at all, what gives?

You also stated that in the layout/viewport, they do show dashed, but see below, they are not:

You are so kind, thank you for looking at this!

And sorry, I should've explained better- it's not the pink line, it's the grey hidden line right around it-- which is showing up normally dashed in your screenshot.

But for me, that grey line shows up as solid from a distance, and when I zoom in I see little dots where the spaces in the dash should be.

It must be something with my Autocad settings idk, have you ever seen that before yourself?

Hello @jasminechh

From the image posted I notice that the cursor or crosshair is lagging. Is that true? Do you see the crosshair jitter or blink when you move around in modelspace?

I am assume the problem to be with the graphic. Try this: Type in the command "3DCONFIG" and try turning it "ON". If you want to display the line type in layout(paperspace) to be the same as they are displayed in the modelspace then try setting the variable "PSLTSCALE" to "0". See the attachment.

Hope that solves your problem 🙂
