Hi,

welcome @forums.autodesk.com!

How long is the spline, which linetype do you have assigned (dashed from ACADISO.LIN or ACAD.LIN), which linetype scale is set to the object, how are the variables LTSCALE, MSLTSCALE, PSLTSCALE set, are you looking to the spline (modelspace or paperspace/viewport) ... at which scale?

As you see, questions over questions, and without knowing the answers to them we can't tell you what you should do.

A good start would be if you upload your drawing, then we can give valid suggestions.

I uploaded the cad file please give me a solution based on this. I want a triple dotted dashed line for boundary and for internal spline another ones

Hi,

>> I want a triple dotted dashed line for boundary

As I don't know what you mean by boundary I have created a new layer "LT_1", assigned that your loaded linetype "ACAD_ISO06W100", changed some objects to that layer and set sysvar LTSCALE to 0.02.

That's the result (one possible result, you might need it with other settings depending on how you want to have the linetypes working with PSLTSCALE)

Hello, I'm also having a similar issue with the splines in my drawing. In the same drawing, I have a regular line the same layer, with the line type displayed as it should be. However, the splines which are assigned to the same layer, are not doing so... do advise. thanks.

Make sure the spline has set the linetype to "byLayer" and the object-ltscale to the same value as your line(s), both to be controlled with the property window.

If that does not work, upload the drawing (at least with some of the objects) and let us know your AutoCAD release and service pack.

Thanks for the replay, I fiddled with the LTSCALE in properties and got it resolved. Have a nice day!

Just in case someone finds themselves here and ltscale is not the issu (other lines with same linetype are properly showing the designated pattern)

I figured out that my spline was 3 dimensional following the contours. (got it from cadmapper). I re-exported from cadmapper without contours and got a flat spline. This fixed the line type problem.

I was able to correct the 3d spline by Flattening, then changing its Fit/Smooth to None, then exploding. Then "Pedit" and join to make it whole again. Then Ltype Gen ON to get the line type to show throughout the entire spline (now a pline) despite its small segments. (using quadratic at the Fit/smooth step may create a more accurate line. Didnt test. this was good enough for me)
