Custom User Interface (CUI) default settings

Every time I go into CUI, I have to expand the properties button (< next to help button) and expand the customizations in all files, section, and the find the last toolbar I worked on.  Is there a way to get it to open to the properties and customizations being open?  Is there a way to get it to default to the last item I worked on before clicking ok?

I am on C3D 2024, but have plain AutoCAD and LT.  I didn't have this problem before, but skipped some versions between 2018 and 2024.

You mean this one?

to this?

If yes, mine never shrinks back if I use CUI command all the time even between AutoCAD sessions, but the shrunken "cui" pop-up always appears if I only activate TOOLBAR command but not CUI command. regardless of year version of AutoCAD or LT or ARCH for me.

Are you just calling up the TOOLBAR command instead of CUI command?

If you mean have all of these open every single time

No. And it's never been an ability in older versions that I can recall either. Which pre-2018 year version did so for you exactly?

I didn't realize that there was a difference in the way I called up CUI, but there is.  Lately I was right clicking next to a toolbar, selecting customize, and getting it all collapsed.  I just tried typing CUI, and it opened fully.  It was probably the same then, and I was probably typing cui all the time.  My laptop was stolen, so I just installed the latest version on my new one and don't have 2018 or earlier available right now.
