Custom linetype

Is it possible to create a linetype that looks like this?

Its basically a dashed line where the gaps are closed by a line at the top and at the bottom.

I've tried to create this as a linetype, but I can't get it to work as most of the time I get: *Invalid* That's the continuous linetype!

Using MLINE also doesn't work.

Hi,

if you need this linetype for none straight objects I would say, no, at least not clean as the outlines look then like segments. If you only need straight segments then it could be possible.

I'm pretty sure something just like this has been requested before.  I tried Searching a little, but didn't find the right terms to put in the Search window, but you can try.  And it could have been either here or [maybe more likely] in the Customization Forum.

I do not have Map3D or Civil3D, but I will look in to it if I don't find any other solution.

Thanks, I already searched for it but couldn't find anything.

This one uses multilines, but its not giving me the result I'm looking for.

FYI Map3D is free to use for each and every AutoCAD user with a current active subscription: just download and install from your Autodesk Account Page.
