Custom Linetype Doesn't Plot Right

I created a custom line type in the default acad.lin file. It looks how I want it when I am in AutoCAD (see the light blue dashed line in image 1), but when I plot it looks like image 2 where the dashes are no longer nice rectangles.

This is what I added to the acad.lin file:

*COMMDASH,dashed _ _
A,0.2,-0.2,0.2,-0.2

Any idea why it is doing this?

Which PDF driver did you use, what are the dpi settings and paper size and scale, and what plot settings did you use? Your post only covers one end of a much larger process and choices that need to be made.

And did you try a different PDF driver(s) and different plot settings?

And which PDF viewer are you using too? And did you try another?

Here are my plot settings:

I have tried using a different PDF driver and different PDF viewers but that didn't fix it.

Could you share that dwg with just those two lines in the same layout as well as your ctb/stb plot style table file for others to test here?
