Custom Line type with open text field

I am putting togather an ALTA survey for a building in our local downtown.  I have multiple Sanitary Sewer lines around the building that are all different sizes.  Is there a way I can make a line type that will prompt me to enter the text I want?  I would not like to have to make a linetype for all these different size sewer lines.

Thank You,

If you have Express Tools check out the MKLTYPE command.

No way you can make a linetype that includes editable text upon insertion. (unless maybe customization)

Doesn't C3D come with a bunch of these linetypes?

None of the linetypes that come with C3D has a spot for editable text at the time it is drawn.  I know how to make linetypes that reflect the different size sanitary lines but I would rather make a linetype that asks me what I want it to say than making 6 different linetypes. I rememeber Land Desktop having a special linetype feature that would allow this.  Have they done away with it?

I don't know if such a line type existed.

Not in plain autocad anyway as far as I know.

Not exactly what I was looking for but I like the quickness of it.  Land Desktop had a linetype that when you when to use it in the command line it asked you what text you wanted it to display.  It did not make a "new" linetype like this progam does.  It was simply one linetype with a editable field for the text that was determined each time you used it.

*I have found an old user manual to Land Desktop 2000.  The lines I am refering to were called Special Lines and it was call Draw Line with Text.

with Civil 3D very easily done if you mapexport the data to a SDF or shp file type and use the feature label capability.

Thats above what I usually do. Do you have a guideline that I can use to make sure I'm doing it right?
