Has anyone had a problem with the threat mouse cursor lining up with the selection point on screen?
I have the same problem in AutoCAD, Mechanical & Plant3D - all 2022

The picture below shows what I mean

Just read through the question - it was not put very well - what I meant was the mouse cursor is not in the same place as the selection cursor - the picture shows drawing a selection window & the selection point is bottm right of the selection window while the mouse is at the cross hairs

The only thing that has changed is updated the Nvidia driver
Can this cause this?

@d.spreemann ,

Make sure the driver is a Certified Graphics Hardware.

Also, try some of the suggestion from these links:

Thanks for reply
Graphics card is okay, model moved to 0,0,0
I have run through all the usual things (I have bene an AutoCAD user for over 20 years & am also an ACP)
Problem has arisen on a 2nd machine & the only common denominator is updating Nvidia driver - I tried reinstalling the old driver but problem persists
I am stumped 😞

@d.spreemann So the problem is only reproducible on one PC, all other PCs access the same DWG files do not have this issue?

>>>...Graphics card is okay...<<<
What does that mean please? based on your reporting, that's not a true statement 😉

Have you installed the 2022.1.1 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022: reverting to DirectX11 fixes similar problems for most users.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: if still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort, and start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....

What I meant was graphics card is on the approved list

All updates have been installed

LINESMOOTHING & LINEFADING - tried that
GRAPHICSCONFIG has been set to BASIC MODE by Autodesk Support (yes I did log a call & they responded)

GFXDX12 to zero - that I'll try
What I can say is the cursor seems out on the Z axis - the closer I zoom up the worse it gets (not relatively worse close I zoom)
It starts out unnoticeable on a reboot & gets progressively worse until I have only half the screen I can select on - reboot & it starts out correctly then gets progressively worse - the x & y axis are in line, it's the Z that seems to drift further away
I'll try GFXDX12 over the weekend & let you know Monday
Thanks for the tips
Dominic
