Cursor lag when working AutoCAD remotely

Is there a cure for cursor lag/hesitation when working remotely with AutoCAD on a Citrix connection?   My processor is Intel i-5, 12 Gig RAM and 100 mbps network speed.  I do not have an upgraded video card.  Please advise if there is something I can upgrade to cure the cursor lag. Video card, network speed, other?

A better PC/laptop might help, but the connection may be the reason for the slowness: is 100mbps your location's upload speed too, not just download? Probably not.

Are you allowed to download the file(s) and work off the laptop instead? Another option.

Remote Access and such is always going to have a little lag. Often times it is just about painful. The larger the file or complex the worse it will get.

Good luck,

Thanks,  So even if I have a faster network speed and a decent video card still expect lagging cursor when working remotely in AutoCAD?

I can Remote Desktop into my laptop on a nearby switch 1gb and the lag is acceptable, but it takes some time getting used to it.  It’s not quite the same as being in the same machine, but workable. I don’t think you will be able to get that good of results with Citrix and multiple switch hops.

good luck
