I'm experiencing a cursor issue in CAD. I've managed to trouble shoot it down to a few issues / causes
The Issue:
Certain commands cause my CAD cursor to disconnect from my regular mouse pointer. By this I mean that if I use the rectangle command. when I finish the rectangle the CAD cursor will remain where it was when the command ended while I move the mouse. The mouse still registers the movement, showing as the typical Microsoft arrow. After maybe half a second, the cursor snaps back to the mouse and everything is normal.
Specifics:
This only happens with certain types of commands. Basically any draw command that produces a new entity; Circle, Rectangle, Pline, etc, as well as dimension commands cause this issue. manipulation commands however (move, stretch, etc) are fine.
Current Fixes:
There are currently two scenarios where this doesn't happen.
1. Turning off the block insert palette that was introduced in (I believe) Autocad 2019.
2. Turning off DYNMODE (Setting it to 0. setting it to 1 will stop this issue from happening with draw commands, but persists for dimensions).
Note: If I don't have the insert palette open, I can run DYNMODE at 3 with no cursor issue. Likewise if I run DYNMODE at 0 I can have the insert palette open with no cursor issue. I don't consider these to be fixes because I want to use the tools that CAD provides and not using those tools seems self-defeating.
Thus far I have tried:
Resetting CAD to defaults
Reinstalling CAD
Any ideas?
