Creating Scale Bar in layout view

Hi All,

I have a very large model. It's more than 100,000 ft long. I would like to set a scale bar inside the layout view.

I want to set the scale as 1" = 10,000 ft. How do you get the scale bar to recognize 1" of paper space in the layout view? If I drop it into the layout view, the scale bar is much too small and is maybe a mm of paper space...not 1 inch..

Thanks in advance!

Try this: draw an inch long line in paperspace, that's what you just asked for, right?
Now INSERT your scale bar in paperspace and edit/scale it to do what you want.

In that case, I guess the question becomes...what is one inch on paper space? Please see attached. When I go to draw a line, it shows 15,000+. How do I get that line to draw in terms of paper space to show one inch?

It sounds like you may have scaled your paper space incorrectly.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
