Create 2D shape using existing polyline

I am trying tgo Presspull this into a solid, but need to turn this shape into a 2D shape first. I tried REGION command but it didn't work. Can someone help?

command BOUNDARY

pick inside the rightmost item in your dwg

a message pops up stating a closed polyline cannot be  completed, make a Region? yes

Being a Spline [not a Polyline] that is not planar is the issue.  For me, it also works to use FLATTEN on it, which for some reason ends up with a gap, but that can be Closed in the Properties palette.  Then PRESSPULL works on it.
