Cooperation with the GstarCAD

AutoCAD 2012

When receiving the drawing from the GstarCAD colleague I cannot zoom the drawing. It looks like the drawing is far away and cannot be zoomed. The same problem is when opening the drawing with the DWG TrueView. I convert the drawing to the 2010 edition using DWG TrueView. Any ideas what can be the reason and how to solve this problem?

Hi,

there is a problem with verry high coordinates, or the current camera, or..

We could tell you concretely and explain it perfectly,
but you chose not to share the DWG
and therefore it is not possible to examine the matter.
A screenshot cannot answer everything.

Does it work?
Command: .ZOOM<enter>
object<enter> last<enter><enter>

?

Yes, the command works and the drawing can be zoomed in.

When opening the TrueView I found the note about the missing dll file. Can it be the reason for this matter?

c:\program files\autodesk\dwg trueview 2024 - english\acdim.crx cannot find a dll or other file that it needs.

You also talking about ACAD2012, so a missing file in c:\program files\autodesk\dwg trueview 2024 - english\

can't be the problem.

It is what I guessed before, the current camera (View) setting:

You can solve the issue by CAMERA (and view) command,  but for frequent and future data exchange, it would be better if the sender finds a better view to save.

Set camera pos to *0,0,1 -  target to *0,0,0 - lense length 50 ...

and set this cameraview active.

Thank you very much for this help.

Can I ask you one more thing? I found the problem with the invisible title of the drawing when opening the ACAD to fullscreen.

You can, but you should ask all other users too!

Everyone knows more together and therefore a higher chance of a good answer.
(Unfortunately I do not know)

If anyone can help you with that, they'll be sure to get in touch.

Consider the suggestion from this link:

"Draw a window selection around visible geometry and then copy-paste this to a new file (use Paste to Original Coordinates). Delete the contents of the original file and then copy and paste the elements back into it."

Not enough information: can you be more detailed?

Also use CTRL+F2 after you open your problermatic DWG file and find out what AutoCAD is notifying you it cannot find, then share that here please.
