Converting Ortho with 45 degree plane to isometric. Help me please

I have an assignment to design a jig or fixture to hold a flange and drill a 45 degree hole in a specific part of it. I designed my object and drew it on Autocad in orthographic. But I am having some problems with converting it to isometric because of the non iso plane.

Thanks Lee, you are a life saver. I just started using AutoCad at the start of the year, so I'm not that advanced. But I plan to major in engineering and I would like to help out like you do on the AutoCad furums. Do you have the AutoCAD file for the coorected drawing?

You are talking about the slot for the jig? That it appears to be of different sizes in the views?

Not slot for the jig, lol, I meant slot for the flange. The slot is supposed to have a bose area of 100mm because thats the base area for the flange.

 

For the slot when redrawing on the SV and PV I used the endpoints of the slot and the centre to create an ellipse sharing the same endpoints and centre lines, not sure where I went wrong.

Have you figured out how to run those lisps yet?

Just save those .lsp files to your computer somewhere and drag one into the drawing area of an active drawing. that's probably the easiest way to load one.
i think the command for isomk is "isomk"
and the isoblock ones use "isoblock" for the command.
the one with MOD for Scale in the name scales up the block so the geometry will size the same as the original.

the isomk.lsp does not work on polylines (nor on certain other objects) but is quite handy.
the Isoblock.lsp programs work on blocks. so you would need to make whatever you are wanting to convert, into a block first...

I'm not understanding Mark. This is pertaining to what? To convert from Orthographic to isometric or is it something else?

Your side view has a hidden edge where mine has a solid edge.  You should either change the view or adjust the isometric view so that they are consistent.

The solid line that you have is correct, but the other hidden detail lines are for the the flange,that is exactly 100mm

I would have thought the layout, based on a 100 dia. flange and 120 wide Jig, to look closer to this (Not all geometry included).  2017-01-24_0552.png

Yeah that's how it should appear, so the orthographic view is alright now? And how did you get the spring on there the first time, it looked cool

To create the spring use the HELIX command and then use SWEEP to sweep a circle (that has the diameter of the spring wire) along the helix.
