Converting lines into a 3D solid/surface

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble trying to turn a number of SPLINES and ARCS into a solid. I have looked extensively and have yet to find a solution that works. I have tried:

  • Using the 'SURFNETWORK' command to create surfaces which I could then convert to solids, but this doesn't appear to work in circumstances where there are only three lines. I have tried breaking some of the curves in such a way that I would have 4 lines (2 in each direction) but for some reason this only works for particular parts of the model, despite what appears to be similar geometry (see attached image).
  • Using the 'CONVTOSOLID' command and turning all the curves into closed polylines.
  • Using the 'LOFT' command.

I've run out of ideas and I would really appreciate any help. I have attached the file and an image of the location where SURFNETWORK fails. Apologies if I'm making an obvious mistake here but I cant figure this out.

Thanks for reading.

Hi @Anonymous,

I found that many of the lines (arc and splines) didn't actually end at the some points. I took each section and cleaned them up a bit in order to perform an EDGESURF.
