Converting Autocad vs 1998 to run in 2012

I have a lot of useful Typical Drawings that I put on CD in 1999 i'm assuming now Auto cad vs 1998 cant remember for sure & I would like to use those files using version 2012, is there anyway to do this?

Back in 1998 it was most likely Release 14

Since all AutoCAD versions are backwards compatible, there should be no problems opening any of those old drawings.

Just copied them from the CD to your hard drive and you are set to go.

Paul, I so much appreciate a solution to my problem, you would think someone that has used Auto Cad since about Day 1 in 1980 that I would know more but like a lot of people @Anonymous Instruments in those day we depended on the IT guru's to keep us going.
