Converting an Image to AUTOCAD Drawing entities (Line, arcs, Circles, Texts etc.

Hi,

I am looking for some command in AUTOCAD, which can allow user to create an Image into existing AUTOCAD Entities like line,circle, arcs and text.

I want to know the capabilities like, "How should the image quality be like?"

I would be glad,if someone can explain it in detail

AutoCAD itself can't do that, you need an application like Raster Design (>>>click<<<) which can help you converting an image into geometric/vector objects.

You need to purchase a 3rd party RASTER-TO-VECTOR software for the task, most are not expensive, try before you buy of course.

I actually tried checking AUTOCAD Raster design but it seems to me that, it does not directly convert an Image into AUTOCAD Entities.

Here, user "reverses the filter" and then he uses the primitives command and keeps on selecting Line, Text etc. so that finally AUTOCAD Entities are created.

Can't we directly get the AUTOCAD Entities,without picking each primitive ?

Please help.

No, not with plain AutoCAD. As @pendean you might then look for 3rd party applications doing that.

Oh! I was thinking, if we have something in AUTOCAD similar to that of Draftsight ImageTracer command.

may I ask why you ask for a function as you seem to have a software that can do what you need?

If you don't have Draftsight, then install it, afaik it is free.

To answer your question: Sorry NO, AutoCAD does not have such a function built in.
