Hi,
I have a dwg with several hundred boxes (closed polylines), and in each box I have a text (always different). I would like to export these boxes in GIS (shp ideally) with the texts as an attribute for each box. Is this possible? Thank you!!

Hi Marie,
Not possible with vanilla AutoCAD. You'll need Map 3D or Civil 3D. The good news is if you have a current subscription to AutoCAD you can install Map 3D for no charge.

Hi Marie,
Most MAP features are also available in Civil3D, so you should be able to do it directly with civil.

Civil 3D is built on top of Map 3D.
If you have Civil 3D then you have Map 3D.
