Hello — I have a dwg file with a bunch of tables, however, it appears the tables were drawn with lines and text... not built using the table tool. I need to get these converted to an AutoCAD native table or excel file. Any suggestions? I have looked into "TableBuilder", however, it is just for windows users. Please and thank you!!
There are several lisp routines written that are out there that can do just this. Do a search for "text to mtext lisp" several will come up.
Is there a way to do this on a Mac? I did find a couple ways using Express Tools, however, doesn't appear it's available on the Mac platform.
Hello — Thank you for the replies. I am a graphic designer and very (VERY) new to AutoCAD. From my research and google searches, I have found that when searching for the lisp routinues, that I need Express Tools to use them. I do not have express tools, and it appears it only works on windows platforms? Thanks for your help.
Nope, you do not need express tools. Use the "APPLOAD" command and browse for the .lsp file. If it's something you know you will use a lot of, add it to your Startup Suite:
