continuing a line along its established trajectory

Please see attached .DWG file.

Say I want to start a line at Point "A", have it continue through Point "B" and terminate at Line "C".

The way I do this now is, with the "Node" OSNAP enabled,  draw a (L)ine from Point "A" to Point "B", then (EX)tend it to Point "C".

I feel like there must be a more efficient way.

Thanks for any replies.

Try turning on the osnap "Extension" after you click point a and b it will follow the same angle of that segment

If you want to end up with a single line, then your way is the only way.

Other solutions will give you a line in two segments, A to B and B to line C.

Use RAY command and trim but it saves you no step.

Thanks for the replies.  I think the RAY command (which I was unaware of) plus TR(im) is the most efficient workflow.
