It's impossible to tell from the image whether its "wanderings" are completely random, or whether there's a repeat. It would be essential for defining a Hatch pattern that there be some regular repeat. Can you post a larger sample, showing [for example] at what distance and direction that three-lobed closed shape in the middle recurs, and whether what wanders around it does so in a repetitive way?

with its insertion point in the middle, Arrayed [non-associatively], can make a pattern like that with any kind of random wanderings you like, just by changing the rotation angle of some of them to 90°:
And it has big advantages over a Hatch pattern. It can contain the color infill instead of only linework, and it can have true curvature instead of needing to be made of only line segments.
