When trying to rotate an object or draw a circle, I can't see the preview of what direction the object will be facing or how big my circle is until after I complete the command. I get a preview when I move an object, mirror, and even creating a rectangle, can anyone help?

I've tried COMMANDPREVIEW and changing that to <0> and back to <1> and that doesn't work. I've tried turning off an on DRAGMODE, still nothing.

Try changing your DRAGMODE variable. Turn it on or auto

edit: I just saw that you tried this already

DRAGMODE needs to be AUTO (not ON) - there is a difference.

If that doesn't help, turn hardware acceleration OFF (if it's ON), or ON (if it's OFF).

To elaborate a little:  When DRAGMODE is [merely] ON, you need to type in the word DRAG to have it do its thing.  When it's set to AUTO, it does its thing whenever appropriate, without your asking.

By providing a link to the documentation, one would hope that the information could be gained from said documentation.

But in any case, that has to be the strangest set of values for a sysvar. In what world, would I want to type in DRAG and *then* it lets me drag. +

Wait, I know.... in the world of 1987 on Release 9 with an 8086 CPU where you never wanted dragging to slow you down automatically..... lol....

But in 2021, do we really need the "1" setting?

Talk to me about backwards compatibility and breaking scripts and lisp..... 😉
