We need more info, and screenshots or a screencast would help.

Is your command line squashed down to 1 line?

Hopefully we can fix your problem after more info.

In the meantime. You can type TEXTSCR to bring up a separate dialog box with the commandline information.

Only in the DIST command, for do other commands not show up there, either?  [And if you mean the DIST command, its name is not DISTANCE -- the full word will get you the contents of the System Variable by that name, the result of the latest DIST command, though maybe that's what you mean.]

Try Ctrl+9 to bring the command line back if it has somehow disappeared entirely.  [You may have hit that combination accidentally, though for me in Acad2016 it asks for confirmation that you want it gone, so you would also have had to press Enter accidentally to say Yes.]

Read Help about TEXTSCR and links to related content about positioning and sizing the command line.

Hi @paulhenricarvalho,

If your command line is only showing one line of text you can stretch it to show more. you can also click on the little wrench icon on the left side to increase the value of the CLIPROMPTLINES. I like to set mine to 3 or higher.

F2 will also show you the textscreen.

Please let me know if this answers your question or tif the problem is related to something different.

I was able to stretch my commandline up to show what I need to see, thanks.

problem solved, but I am not even sure how to find info in the Help menu about TEXTSCR.  The help menu is now it appears connected only online and it takes forever to find anything.   Autodesk has made searching for information much more difficult than past versions.  Disappointing to say the least how time consuming this is now.

Agreed. Please let Autodesk know here [Autodesk feedback] because nobody will ever see complaints here in the forums.

Hi @john.vellek

Yes and No. F2 will expand the command line. TEXTSCR will open a separate dialog box showing only the command line and history.

Really?  [I don't see any mention of what version you're using.]   In 2016:

TEXTSCRhelp.PNG

In 2017, yes, it's changed, but not difficult.  Just put TEXTSCR in the Search window [at upper right, rather than at upper left as in 2016 Help], and the link for Help about that command is the top of the returned list.  Pick that, and you get the same as above.  Or you can go not by way of Search but through the Quick Reference link for Commands:

TEXTSCRhelp-17.PNG

That brings up an alphabet, pick the T .... you'll figure it out.
