Command Line

I have a question about the command line:  in previous versions of autocad pressing F2 would bring up a separate box showing previous commands.  If you had two screens you could keep that window open on the second screen.  As far as I can see this is no longer the case.  If I undock the command line and move it (in F2 mode) to the second screen it disappears as soon as I enter a command - the only way round that is to made it bigger so that I can keep track of it, but I'm finding it uncomfortable to have the actual command line on the second screen.

I'm trying to teach myself lisp, so having the previous commands open is very helpful - but I'm prepared to accept that I'm missing something with the setup of this, is there a way of separating them?

F2 Text Window disappears

2016-04-21
Issue:
You want to see the history of your commands via the Text Window. However, when clicking F2, the text window showed up briefly but disappeared.
Causes:
The text window is probably hidden to the back of AutoCAD.
Solution:
Enter TEXTSCR in the command line or Ctrl+F2 and see if it brings up the text window.
If it comes up, move the application window to the other screen (if you have none then move it a little bit to the left or to the right) and you'll see the text window
The other way alternative is to get it from the taskbar for your AutoCAD session (one for the main application, one for the text window) ==> selecting the text window icon pushes it to the front.

Putting the window on the second monitor work fine for me.
