Command for layer plot or not to plot?

Hello,

So i'm just wondering that, is there a command for changing layer to be visible when printing, and not to be? I know that i can change that mode in layer properties, but just wondering is there a quick way to do this?

I'm trying to be more productive and faster, because we use external server which runs autocad, so there is allways 5-10 sec latency between commands.

Hope you understand my english, i'm not native english speaker 🙂

Thanks

Why is it a question of performance? You have to do it just one time (when you define your layer), or not?

If you know you which layer(name), you can use the commandline version of layerproperties manager, command -LAYER

It really good for performance, because it is just the commandline AND you can do multiple changes in one command-session!

This can be done, but you need to use additional tools for printing - lisp, vba, external programs.
Do you have an example of a file with a title block?

Hello!

That was just what is was looking! The "-layer p n/y"-command is so fast, comparing the original method.

And no, i use it multiply times, when i'm printing the same spot in drawing, but don't want to print other layers/want to change them invisible.

I'm HVAC designer, and i use MagiCad plugin, so sometimes i have to use autocads features the way they are not meant to use.

Thanks for helping me! 🙂
