Civil 3D/AutoCAD on 4k Monitor

I am running Autocad Civil 3d on a Dell Workstation with two Zeon Processors 64gb ram and an Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 graphics card. I have been struggling for a while with Autocad performance issues - all other software works fine in 4k and i have been trying all sorts of fixes involving specific drawings and settings. I have finally figured out that dropping the resolution to 1920x1080 fixes the issue entirely and AutoCAD works swiftly, menus respond on time, and all works well ... it looks dreadful compared to 4k but I don't have to wait 5 minutes to draw a line.

Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone found a fix to make AutoCAD work well in 4k ?

The display is fine and there are no scaling issues in 4k - it all looks good its just pretty much unusable because of the speed issues.

All of your other programs are probably not system-level computer/graphics cards abusers like C3D 😉

Share screenshots of your ABOUT command pop-up from inside that/those programs, as well as your GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up (also from that/those programs) please.

This is the graphics config screen of C3D 2023.

Not sure what you mean regarding "those programs" - I could show you QGIS working on a data set in the 1000's of MB's - I could show you Adobe Premier working on a video, Illustrator working on a PDF drawing or a complicated 3d game running at high quality on a 4k display - all of which work smoothly and without problem. On this system I can have the latest 3d Game running at the same time as streaming a Video and editing an illustrator document and it all works fine .... in fact, there is almost no slowdown.  The difference between Autocad C3D in 4k and Standard Resolution is massive even if disable every background app and run only Autocad on one monitor it is still like drawing in Treacle on 4k. Do other people have the same experience? or do I have a conflict of some sort somewhere?

@darren.stewart7XBTH I'm glad your Adobe products and gaming not-from-Autodesk-not-based-on-C3D are not affected: but that's not what we are discussing here, is it my friend.

I missed your ABOUT command pop-up, can you reshare? Looking to see if you have the base AutoCAD 2023.1 Update yet and the C3D update that follows that one. Guess you can figure that out yourself now, they are important.

I am not sure if it would help but it is worth a shot: set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/C3D. Perhaps DirectX11 on your PC for these programs works/behaves better.
