Changing Template / Block Reference without changing the dimensions.

Hello Friends Autocad Version : 2013 I need to convert a drawing template from old template to new template. From the new template drawing file if i copy the old template drawing contents with old template drawing to and paste it into new template file then the template automatically changes in to new (Just very simple copy and paste). But the problem is dimension formats like Text Style, Text height, dimension text digits and dimension line circle changing happening, and if i am working for multiple sheet drawing then it is tedious to check and change it manually. If there is any suggestions to overcome this problem. thanks in advance thilag

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

Can you describe what you mean by "automatically changed to new"? Do you mean to a new DWG-format (for saving) or what exactly changed?

To transfer structure from one drawing to another I usually use the design center (>>>click<<<).

And just to make sure: if you have an old template and you need that 1:1 as new template you can use it directly. In most cases that work, there are only few exceptions why that would not be the best way.
