Changing multi dynamic block visibility state takes a long time

I would like to know what I can do when changing of visibility state of multiple dynamic blocks at once takes a very long time. it has been over 10 minutes for roughly 150 blocks. -Thanks

Try BVMODE to 0 and see whether it improves. Are your drawings in local or a network location. What version of AutoCAD and the service pack level you are in ?

I am using on a network. Product Version: M.107.0.0 AutoCAD 2016 SP1

BVMODE was already 0 when I just checked so i changed it to 1 for comparison.

I had also purged the drawing initially. Its file size shows as 3,833KB and the xref is 648 KB and another xref 415 KB.
