Changing drawing template

what happens when I make changes in my drawing template (.dwt) relating to my actual drawings who are based on that template? Are the changes effect the drawings soon as I open them again?
Thx.

If a new drawing was spawn based on a dwt template, changing the DWT will not change the newly spawned drawing.

Btw, you can also spawn new drawings based on DWG templates.  It effectively copies the file and presents a new file from it.

No the drawing will not update if you update the template.

What you have to do is reload that template into your drawing.

This is done by right clicking the model tab and select "From Template"

Once you create a drawing from a template and save it as a .dwg, it is no longer connected in anyway to that template. Any changes you make in the template that you want in the drawing would have to be made in the drawing.
