I would like to change the units in the dialog boxes for setting up text or dimensions from fraction to decimal to get the units showing correctly. Example 1: If I enter an annotative text size of .08333 for 8" text in an 1/8" scale drawing it rounds up to 1/8" in the display for the units. NOTE: My text are as desired just list the wrong size. Example 2: If I enter an annotative arrow size of .08333 for 8" arrows in an 1/8" scale drawing it rounds up to 3/32" in the display for the units. NOTE: My arrows are as desired just list the wrong size.

Type UNITS at the command line. What precision is your drawing units set to? They should be finer than what you want to dimension to.

That will work, I was hoping there was a setvar that controlled these boxes separately from what I'm drawing in model space. Maybe that will be enough to get my template set right, them change back to our default units prior to saving template. Thanks

Be aware that the command line listing of these particular
variables will also round up based on the units precision.

There isn't a separate UNITS command for paperspace. Although, the units are in inches, the precision is affected by the UNITS settings.

Agree with Ed.

OTOH I would suggest you create separate dimstyles if you have to place dimensions in layout.

IMO it is a good practice to place dimensions in model space all time, BTW.
