Change the default dimensioning style when creating a new drawing

Hi there, I'm a basic autocad user, I want when I create a new file or open someone else's drawing, my dim is 5 times larger than the default size without having to scratch the dimstyle.

DIMSTYLE command will let you set up your own dimension style with larger text and whatever other properties you want.... colours, font, arrowhead size etc.

 

Just hit "New" in the DIMSTLYE pop-up window, you can pick an existing one as a starting point and then change the relevant bits for what you want.

Hopefully I understood you correctly.

 

 

If your dimensions are 5 time larger than the default size, then you may be using an Annotative dimension style.

In the Properties, change the Dim style or Annotative status.
