ok so you know the UCS command

I regularly have to rotate x by 90 degrees, once upon i believe this was the default.

now i type ucs > x > then it says 180

so i have to type 90

its a small thing, but what happened to 90 being the default, and how can i change it back?

Try units, click direction, and set base angle to east.

Hi,

Command: UCS
Current ucs name:  *NO NAME*
Specify origin of UCS or [Face/NAmed/OBject/Previous/View/World/X/Y/Z/ZAxis] <World>:
Specify point on X-axis or <accept>: direction to x axis at first point
Specify point on the XY plane or <accept>: direction to y axis at second point

Was looking for a resolution on this as well. It looks like this was resolved 12 months ago, but the listed solution doesn't solve my issue. I am using AutoCAD 2020 and the default UCS rotation angle is set to 180.

Here's the system variable that sets this angle: UCSAXISANG

Steps to fix:

Enter 'setvar' at the command line

Enter the system variable name: 'ucsaxisang'

Enter the preferred value: '90'

That should set the default USC angle to 90.

90 is apparently an invalid value for this variable, try again

I just modified this setting in AutoCAD 2023. Worked as described above.
