Change Command not Performing Correctly

When I want to change the color of a line the change command is screwed up. I wanted a pinkish/orange color but the closest to that was color code number 118. However, when I clicked on that color code number 118 it wasn't what I expected. In fact, the color was a dark green (number (162). Did I do something wrong or is there a glitch in the software??? It seems all the color codes are screwed up, So, I don't think I screwed up.

Hi.

>> However, when I clicked on that color code number

Well, the command _CHANGE gives you the option to type in a color number, but does not show the color-dialog where you can click onto a color. So what are you doing exactly? What command do you use and does the same happen when you just use the property window to change the entities color.

And as that sometimes happen: when you are using a CTB or STB as plot style go to page setup manager (command _PAGESETUP) ==> (current layout) ==> Modify ==> within that dialog look to the checkbox "Display plot styles". If that is activated then uncheck it and see if that solved the display issue.

If that does not answer your question upload the drawing with the object you assigned color 118 so we can see what object type this is and how the objects is shown on our systems.

Just to avoid conflicts of bad cables to the monitor: when you start command _COLOR the colors you get displayed in that dialog are all ok?

Strange,

Autocad color 118 is a dark green.

Autocad color 162 is a blue color.

Are you selecting these from the Autocad Color Index?

For: Alfred - It seems it does not make a difference what color code number I choose it counes out as  variation of "Green".

For:
leothebuilder - In "Color Books" tab 118 shows as somewhat orange color, In same tab 162 shows as a somewhat about same color.

Hi,

To try to isolate the problem it makes sense to go through all suggestions/questions.
