I have forgotten how to make the background in my drawing space white instead of black. What is the command or where do I go to change the background color to the white, paper color?

Type OPTIONS at the command prompt. Then click on the Display tab. You will see the Color Options for Various AutoCAD Screen components. Click on PaperSpace or ModelSpace and set their color to black the click OK.
Good luck.
Hi @Anonymous,
I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
Type Options and then select the Display tab. On the left middle of the page you will see Colors.
Select the context such as 2D model space and then the Interface element.
Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
If you change background colors manually, be sure to change the color of the crosshairs to something contrasting.
If you are interested in making a button to quickly toggle background colors between black and white (or whatever colors), then take a look at this. No wasting time opening Options, etc.
I have AutoCad 2017 LT. Can I change the background color in paper space? The box under 'options' tab doesn't have all options everyone is referring to.
Thank you
@Anonymous - so your AutoCAD LT 2017 does not match this page in the documentation?
