Center Line and Hex Head

Hi there,

So, I am drawing a polygon now and want to make 3D model

A drew it in 2D view

extruded in 3D

did a GIZMO 90 degree turn along Y axis

and when I want to draw a center line thru this hex head I cannot make it along X axis

(I need this centerline for auxiliary purposes)

What am I doing wrong?

I noticed when I manage to find a center on the side of the model and click there to start a polyline the directions of the three axis (X Y Z) are changing

It is likely Dynamic UCS is enabled, so AutoCAD is temporarily aligning the UCS to the bolt head.  If you enable Polar Tracking, you can just draw your centerline in the Z-direction and forgo rotating the object or the UCS at all, or you can disable DUCS via Command line (UCSDETECT=0) or by clicking the icon on the status bar, or with the F6 key.

Thanks nestly2, F6 helped. I do not find the icon on the toolbars though.

The icon looks like the UCS Icon with a lightning bolt.  If it's not there, perhaps you've already turned off it's display.
