Please do a screencast so that we can see what you are attempting to do.

Are you selecting an object with no command active, and then LMB clicking on the object, and then trying to drag it?

Or are you trying to use the MOVE command to move an object?

I select an object with the LMB and am trying to move it - on Windows I can move an object by just dragging it (keeping LMB pressed) - on Mac version I can only move it if I drag by some grip point (blue square). I'd like to be able ie. to move the text annotation by just moving it holding LMB anywhere over the text, like on PC.

Go ask in the MAC forum why the MAC acts differently and if there is somehow a way to match them up https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac/ct-p/3011

Remember to list your AutoCAD for MAC version.

I would think it’s not about the Mac / PC - on Mac it’s a new installation from today and I think it’s just some setting that’s default while that ACAD on PC has some different settings.

You'll never know if you don't go ask MAC users and hope only Windows users can address MAC functionality :cara_neutral:

AutoCAD on MAC is a completely different critter. On the surface it might see like it should t make a difference but i've been caught surprised more than once.

(A) Turn OFF the lasso selection feature.

(B) On Windows, it take a 1/2 a second or so to "grab" the object for moving.
