Canon tx-4000, only keeps settings for 1 print size

Hello,

We have a canon tx-4000 potter here. When you setup a typical print you can usually just: 1. pick your printer device 2. pick your sheet size 3. set orientation 4. print. However with this printer, you have to go into the printer driver custom settings and set the sheet size and orientation. If you print the same size sheet every time it would be ok, but we plot: C, D, and E. The screen shot below would print an A size sheet, and the image is the bottom corner of a C size drawing. I saw on Canon's website that they offer a driver "Printer Driver Optimization Module for AutoCAD". Unfortunately this only supports AC2019 and earlier. I tried downloading and installing it anyway, and as suspected it didn't work. Does anyone one else have this plotter? Do you have any ideas how to map the Paper size in the Ac plot dialog to the page size in the printer driver?

Looks like the Canon tx-4000 is installed as a Windows printer.

If you know for sure what paper sizes you need and you don't want to have to select this from inside the printer's properties, what if you install a windows printer of this device and pre-configure it for the various paper sizes you plan on using. So you could end up with Canon tx-4000  C Size, Canon tx-4000 D Size & Canon tx-4000 E Size Windows printers.

@paullimapaThat's a good idea. Thank you. I was hoping there was a setting or an app that I am missing that would make it work normally. If that isn't reality then I will definitely implement your idea. Thanks again!

It's funny how the words Canon / Plotter / Problem are always used together.  The dumbest HP plotter will outperform the best the Canon plotter where realiabilty is concerned.

A plotter only needs to do 3 things consistently : On / Off / Print

Friday afternoon rant, sorry 👻
